Inspiration:

Inspiration:  In Cherokee mythology, Selu was the First Woman and the mother of the corn. (Her name is the word for "maize" or "corn" in the Cherokee language.) Selu produced corn for her family in secret by rubbing her stomach.  Her sons witnessed her making corn and killed her fearing she was a witch.  As she lay dying, she taught them to plant and farm corn, so that her spirit was resurrected with each harvest.  Kana’’i the first hunter was her husband.

Care:

This is primarily a painting and damage will occur if bumped or scraped.  Never use detergents or distilled spirits on the surface as they will dull or strip the paint.  A feather duster is recommended if cleaning is necessary.
