About the Artist

Scott Day was born in Joplin, Missouri and now lives in Colorado and New Mexico.  Scott has a graduate level education and the majority of his career has been spent in hospital administration.

His father was an Indian jewelry dealer who laid the foundation for Scott’s interest in Native American design and materials. He is of Cherokee Indian decent on his mother’s side of the family.

Beginning at a very young age, Scott exhibited artistic talent, creating pencil sketches, and painting in oil and acrylic.  Over the years, he has experimented with plaster and enamel paint, later incorporating precious and semi-precious stones to create the mixed media effects you see today. Scott’s artistic passion is to reinterpret themes and symbols in distinctive and innovative ways.
